What the site currently supports

  • Semantic landmarks and a logical heading structure.
  • A keyboard-accessible navigation menu and visible focus indicators.
  • A skip link that moves directly to main content.
  • Responsive layouts designed to reflow on narrow screens and at high zoom.
  • Text alternatives for informative images and empty alternatives for decorative graphics.
  • Colour choices intended to meet contrast requirements for text and controls.
  • Reduced-motion preferences and print-friendly article styles.

Testing approach

Templates are checked with automated tools and manual keyboard, zoom, reflow, link, and visual reviews. Automated tests cannot establish full conformance, so feedback from people using different assistive technologies remains important.

Known limitations

External websites, retailer pages, email software, and third-party services are outside Splintercat’s control and may not provide the same level of access. New site features will be assessed before launch, but an issue may still be missed.

Report a barrier

Email hello@splintercatgear.com with the page URL, a description of the barrier, the browser or assistive technology involved if you are comfortable sharing it, and the format or access method that would help.

We will acknowledge useful reports and work toward a practical solution. Accessibility feedback will not be used for marketing.
